Rainwater harvesting project in Senegal started

Recently we signed an agreement with one of the oldest NGO’s in the world. The 500 years ago established ‘Ordo Hospitalarius Sancti Joannis de Deo’. We will be delivering  a rainwater harvesting watershop concept for their Hospital in Fatick, Senegal.

The Hospital, Centre De Santé Mentale Dalal Xel in Fatick is located some 150 kilometres away from Dakar, Senegal. We will deliver a system capable of collecting 250.000 litres of rain, store it and then to be purified upon consumption. Part of the water will be sold in a little water shop. It is offered to different target groups: the patients and the employees from the Hospital, people living in the close vicinity of the Hospital and those living in the city of Fatick.

The project aims to reduce the dependency of the Hospital on expensive delivery of good drinking water from other sources and to increase the quantity of the water available on daily basis.
