Successful project in Gambia is continued
January 2006
As from January 2006 onwards, the WaterPyramid demonstration project in The Gambia is continued. Over the last 6 month the local employees have shown responsibility and high motivation to operate and maintain the water plant. Valuable experience is gained which will be used in new projects now being projected in The Gambia and abroad.
Water is produced for local, human consumption and distilled water is produced for industrial applications such as the filling of batteries and hospital use. No technical problems occurred, thanks to the the efforts of Ousman, our Water manager and his colleagues Sheriffo, mr. Dembo, Omar Darboe, Maku Ceesay from the local NGO-CCF and the Mandinarin Village Delevopment Committee.
